Mr. Marks is currently head of R&D for Fusion Systems Shanghai and responsible for delivery of IT solutions throughout the Asia-pacific region. His particular focus areas are Media & Communications, CRM, and Financial IT systems.

Mr. Marks has over 17 years experience in IT and business consulting for capital markets firms. Originally from the UK, he has worked extensively in Asia and the US. He holds an MBA from the INSEAD business school in and a Masters degree in computer science.

With a concentration on front-office and middle-office financial systems, he has helped design, implement and integrate a number of trading systems for leading investment banks including Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, HSBC and the ANZ Bank. Asset classes supported by these systems include equities and listed futures, government , municipal and corporate bonds, money markets, foreign exchange and structured derivatives.

Prior to forming Fusion Systems Shanghai, Mr. Marks was the Global Manager for the core messaging group within Bloomberg LP’s R&D department in New York.
